Dennis Barnett and Jerry Moro originally started the firm in 1984 after a regional Washington firm decided to close their branch in Hermiston leaving the young accountants with a great opportunity and challenge.
The firm has been able meet the growth and changes that our community has experienced. We have seen the change as Hermiston went from a quiet town of just over 9,000 people to becoming a regional agricultural & transportation hub with a young, growing population now numbering over 20,000 people.
Our firm and staff have grown to meet our clients' needs. We now employ 3 CPAs, one enrolled agent/licensed tax consultant, nine staff accountants, and five office support staff who work full time during the busy months of tax season.
Paul was raised in Hermiston, graduated from Carroll College in 2005 and started working for a regional Montana firm for 4 years before coming home in 2009. His time outside the office with spent with his wife Megan and chasing their 5 kids. They all spend significant time volunteering with several different non-profits in our area.
Dennis has been with the firm since its founding in 1984. He can be seen throughout the community assisting with many different non-profits, following his 9 children located from Alaska to southern California throughout Oregon and into eastern Idaho. Cathy and Dennis are up to 32 grandchildren now with two more on the way in the upcoming months.
Betsy has been with us for many years and licensed for over 20 years now. She settled in our area after marrying her husband Jordan, a local farmer. She can be found outside of the office keeping up with her two children throughout their academic, athletic, and club events.
Kim grew up in Stanfield. She joined us in 2019 when we acquired another local firm. She enjoys traveling, scramble golf tournaments, and hanging out by the pool with her friends & family.
